An Abuja High Court sitting at Maitama has, Wednesday, admitted the embattled immediate past Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, to a bail in the sum of N300m.
The court, in a ruling that delivered by Justice Hamza Muazu, further ordered the erstwhile CBN boss to produce two sureties, who must be residents within the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and have landed property within the Maitama District.
It fixed November 28 to commence a comprehensive hearing on the six-count charge the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, levelled against Emefiele.
The court had earlier ordered Emefiele to surrender all his travelling documents.
