Former Vice President and serial presidential contestant, Atiku Abubakar, has been declared winner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary election.
Abubakar polled 1,846,370 votes out of 2,527,977 votes cast to defeat his challenger, former Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi, who amassed 504,117.
Coming third in the intra-party election was Mohammed Hayatudeen, who polled 177,120.
Amaechi and Hayatudeen had earlier condemned the presidential primary, alleging electoral malpractice.
