Eid-ul-Kabir: Ansar-Ud-Deen President, Kazeem Felicitates Muslims, Preaches Renewed Responsibility, Selflessness

The National President of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, AUSD, Prince Musodiq Adeniji Kazeem has felicitated with adherents of the Islamic faith on the special occasion of this year’s Eid-ul-Kabir.

In a personally signed message titled, “The Spirit of Sacrifice: Building A Just, Compassionate and United Nigeria,” and obtained by Theliberationnews, Kazeem called on Nigerians to embrace the enduring values of sacrifice, justice, compassion and unity that the celebration preaches.

According to him, Eid-ul-Kabir commemorates the extraordinary faith, obedience and sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS), whose complete submission to the will of Allah remains one of the greatest examples of devotion in human history.

He noted that the significance of this occasion goes far beyond the ritual observances associated with it noting that Eid is a reminder that sacrifice is not simply what is offered materially, but also what is surrendered in the pursuit of righteousness, justice and the common good.

“This year, as we celebrate this sacred season, these lessons assume even greater importance for us as a people and as a nation.

“Many Nigerians continue to face difficult realities. Families are making extraordinary efforts to meet basic obligations and provide for their loved ones amid economic pressures and uncertainties. Many citizens remain concerned about issues affecting their daily lives, including the cost of living, security, social cohesion and opportunities for the future.

“As people of faith, we must not be indifferent to these realities. We must acknowledge them with sincerity and respond with compassion, understanding and a renewed sense of collective responsibility and purpose,” the statement read in part.

He pointed out that the spirit of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) sacrifice teaches that true devotion requires discipline, patience and selflessness. It reminds us of higher responsibilities owed to humanity and society.

Turning to leaders, Kazeem said: “For those entrusted with leadership, this season should serve as a reminder that public office is ultimately a trust. Leadership at every level demands sacrifice, accountability and a sincere commitment to the welfare of the people.

“For citizens, this period calls upon us to reject dishonesty, corruption, intolerance and actions that undermine the progress and stability of our nation.

“For parents and guardians, it is a reminder of the responsibility to nurture future generations with sound values, discipline and education.

“For religious leaders and community leaders, it is a call to continue promoting moderation, peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding.

“For those whom Allah has blessed with resources and opportunities, it is an opportunity to extend support and kindness to the less privileged and vulnerable within our communities,” he added.

Prince Kazeem concluded by urging Nigerians to embody the true spirit of Eid-ul-Kabir by extending kindness, generosity and hope to those in need.

“May Allah accept our prayers, sacrifices and acts of worship, continue to unite our hearts and strengthen our nation,” he said.

He wished all Muslims and Nigerians a peaceful and joyous Eid-ul-Kabir celebration.
