The Chief Security Officer of Isolo LCDA, Olasoju Adebayo has called on residents and Nigerians at large to sustain their beliefs and confidence in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu noting that the lingering hardship would soon birth prosperity for the nation.

Olasoju’s words of appeal were contained in a release by his Chief Press Secretary, Rasheed Iskilu at the end of a security stakeholders’ meeting which had in attendance heads of security agencies and the DPOs of the five police divisions as well as other law enforcement agents in the council area held on Friday.

Excerpts: “Securing our council area is of paramount interest to us hence this and other previous stakeholders’ meetings with more still likely to follow. Granted that protest is not alien to democracy but chances are that the planned protest will be taken advantage of by hoodlums and criminals the way the ill-fated #EndSars was seized to unleash mayhem. The loss of a police operative who was serving in Ilasamaja Division in addition to the heinous razing down of the entire police station can’t be forgotten so easily and we won’t fold out arms and allow a repeat of such.

“In the mean time, I wish to appeal to our teeming youths to appreciate the efficacy of dialogue in pushing for demands from government instead of confrontation, arson, lawlessness etc which any protest may snowball into at this critical time. It must be bone in our minds that No Nation can progress when her citizens rise against it. The administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is confronting the country’s mirage of problems headlong and strong indications of breakthrough are emerging each day that passes” Olasoju maintained.

The meeting was the latest of engagements the council boss has held with critical stakeholders in the council as well as youths against the background of the planned protest assumably guised to address the economic downturn being faced in the country.

Conclusively, Olasoju assured the residents of more dividend of democracy across the seven political wards and more intervention via palliatives to further complement the state and federal governments’ efforts aimed are bringing succor to Nigerians.
