Osun Election: Accord Party Chieftain Arrested With Thousands Of PVCs

With the 2026 Osun governorship election underway, Theliberationnews has reliably gathered that a Chairman of Accord Party in Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State has been arrested by the police.

The Chairman, whose name has not been disclosed was arrested in the early hours of Saturday alongside some Accord political thugs with thousands of Permanent Voters Card (PVC) reportedly collected by force from voters in Ikire.

Theliberationnews learnt that Accord Party had been strategising on how to distrup or at least reduce votes in the local government and Ikire in particular.

Ikire is the hometown of the All Progressive congress’s Governorship candidate, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji.

Those arrested are said to be taken to the police station in Ikire for questioning. As at the time of filling this report, the police have yet to address the media.
