Nyesom Wike, People’s Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, is about to confirm his public appellation as a ‘chieftain of political rigmarole and inconsistency’ through his perfected plan to finally decamp to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
This is sequel to his instructed defection of his loyalists in Rivers State house of Assembly to the APC on Monday thereby drawing the battle line between him and Governor Simi Fubara and affirming his movement to APC as a fait accompli.
Recall Theliberationnews reported that 27 lawmakers of the Rivers State House of Assembly decamped from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC early on Monday.
Theliberationnews authoritatively gathered that Wike, though a PDP Stalwart is a serving minister in the APC cabinet as Minister and has set December 15, 2023, date for his formal defection to the ruling party.
Recall that Wike, in the build-up to the 2023 elections, had denounced any form of association with the APC, saying that such move was like leaving malaria to get Cancer.
This impending decampment by the current FCT minister is barring any last minute changes.
