Afrobeats singer, Tiwa Savage has given her nod to Teni’s boxing challenge, urging the singer to “pick a date” after she called her out for a bout.
Teni had, in a video posted on her official Instagram account, issued a challenge to Tiwa Savage, stating that she would apologise after the fight.
“MAMA!!! make we fight @tiwasavage 3billion later I go apologise for outside the boxing ring,” she wrote.
The “Somebody’s Son” crooner responded in the comment section with three words: “Pick a date.”
Teni made the challenge while discussing the earnings of Nigerian entertainers and the expensive cars owned by some artistes.
She proposed a ₦1.5 billion purse for the bout and joked about fighting Savage before singing “My Darling” for her afterwards.
The exchange comes days after reality TV star Phyna defeated actress Nkechi Blessing in a celebrity boxing bout, knocking her out in the fourth round to claim the championship belt and a brand new car.
The highly anticipated bout, held in Lagos in the early hours of Friday, October 2, was the climax of a heated build up between the two entertainers, whose rivalry had generated considerable attention on social media.
Phyna, who was the smaller and slimmer of the two fighters, relied on her speed and movement from the opening bell, throwing quick punches and moving around the ring to frustrate Nkechi Blessing.
