Engr. Adigun Olalekan Ibrahim, has congratulated the immediate past Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon. Rasaq Olusola Ajala (HRA), on his well-deserved appointment as Deputy Director-General of the Lagos All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council for the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
Ajala’s appointment was announced by the party’s leadership in the Wednesday edition of The Nation newspaper, alongside other prominent party leaders and political stakeholders, with former Minister and Senator, Musiliu Obanikoro, leading the campaign council.
Adigun, while congratulating the former council chairman, described the appointment as a recognition of Ajala’s political experience, leadership capacity and contributions to the development of Lagos State.
According to him, Ajala’s years of public service and grassroots engagement have provided him with valuable experience that would be useful in his new responsibility.
“I warmly congratulate my political mentor, Hon. Rasaq Olusola Ajala on this well-deserved appointment. His emergence is a reflection of the confidence reposed in his leadership experience, commitment and understanding of grassroots politics,” Adigun stated.
The NYCN Chairman further expressed confidence that Ajala would bring his wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of his responsibilities, particularly in strengthening engagement across communities and among different stakeholders ahead of the elections.
He wished the former scribe of Lagos Conference57 Chairmen success in his new assignment as he expressed strong conviction that he will remain committed to the principles of inclusive leadership, youth engagement and community development.
“Leadership positions come with responsibilities. I am confident that HRA will bring his experience and understanding of the people to bear as he takes on this new assignment. I wish him every success in the discharge of his responsibilities,” he added.
Adigun also used the occasion to reiterate the importance of meaningful youth engagement in the political process, stressing that young people should be given greater opportunities to participate constructively in political and democratic activities.
