According to Odunmbaku, the projects lend credence to his administration’s commitment to honouring its social pact with the residents, noting that it is a, “declaration that local government can work, that public resources can be managed responsibly, and that governance can produce measurable outcomes that improve the lives of ordinary citizens.”

Odunmbaku stressed that the New Executive Office Building, the remodelled Council Secretariat, and three modern Primary Healthcare Centres located at Gbadamosi, Akiode, and Powerline are yet another tangible expression of his HEYS Reloaded Agenda, which encompasses Health, Education, Youth and Women Empowerment, and Social Infrastructure.

He described the ‘HEYS Reloaded’ administrative blueprint as more than a policy framework, but a social contract with the people of Ojodu LCDA, adding that it reflects his administration’s belief that sustainable development must place people at the centre of governance.

“The facilities we commission today represent institutional investments that will outlive administrations and serve generations. The remodelled Secretariat strengthens administrative efficiency. The Executive Office Building enhances strategic coordination, transparency and accessibility. The Primary Health Care Centres bring quality healthcare closer to residents and reinforce our commitment to universal access to essential services,” the council boss added.

In addition to the five projects, Odunmbaku revealed that in the health sector, his administration has recruited over 175 healthcare professionals, expanded access to medical services, procured ambulances, improved staff welfare, institutionalised regular medical outreach programmes, and deployed Electronic Medical Records (EMR) solutions, among other initiatives, to make quality healthcare services seamlessly accessible and affordable to residents.

In the education sector, the council boss explained that his administration has spared no effort in investing in the future of primary and secondary school students, as well as undergraduates.

“Through scholarships, GCE and UTME support, classroom renovations, learning materials and teacher incentives, we continue to invest in the future of our children. Through digital literacy initiatives and coding programmes, pupils across public schools are being introduced to Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Machine Learning, with over 5,600 pupils benefiting from these programmes,” he remarked.

On youth development, digital transformation, and women empowerment, Odunmbaku recalled his administration’s investments in ICT, entrepreneurship, renewable energy, and digital innovation. He also highlighted initiatives such as interest-free loans, business grants, vocational training, SME support programmes, and POS empowerment schemes, which he said have helped create sustainable employment opportunities for the unemployed and less privileged.

On infrastructural development, Odunmbaku said: “Across Ojodu LCDA, we have delivered strategic infrastructure projects designed to improve connectivity, environmental sustainability, public safety and economic productivity. From the reconstruction of Slifatu Abioye Road, the bridge linking Adeshina and Adeniyi Oke Streets, and the channelisation works connecting Murhi International to Alagbole, to the ongoing development of the Oluwole Mini Stadium, the reconstruction of Eweobaja Market and the construction of the Joint Task Force Facility, every project reflects our commitment to people-centred development and long-term community impact.”

He emphasised that his achievements are fully aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the THEMES+ development vision of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, stressing that he will continue to complement the efforts of both the state and federal governments at the grassroots level.
