The Chairman of the Electoral Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State, Barrister Babatunde Ogala, SAN, has announced the emergence of chairmanship candidates in four council areas.
He made the announcement during the party primary elections ongoing at the party secretariat on Acme Road, Ogba, Lagos.
Ogala listed the council areas as Iba LCDA, Otto-Awori LCDA, Ijede LCDA, and Lekki Local Government, adding that only one aspirant obtained the party’s chairmanship form in each of these areas.
He announced Hon. Yisa Jubril, the incumbent council chairman, as the party’s candidate for Iba. For Otto-Awori, he named Azeez Kareem as the candidate, while for Ijede LCDA and Lekki LGA, Ogala announced Motunrayo Gbadebo and Rasak Kasali, respectively, as the party’s chairmanship flagbearers.
Delegates from the four council areas were called out to confirm the development, which they all did, before being asked to exit the voting area.
Voting has since commenced for the remaining 53 council areas.
