The Chairperson of Ojodu LCDA, Mrs Abimbola Odunmbaku on Tuesday led a health mission to raise awareness about tuberculosis and provide free medical services to residents.
The initiative, themed “Yes, We Can End TB” took place at the Ogba Primary Health Centre (PHC) and it featured activities which included awareness walk, health talk on tuberculosis prevention, free blood sugar and blood pressure checks as well as free chest X-rays and tuberculosis screenings.
A total of 159 residents benefited from the Programme, which emphasized early detection and prevention of diseases.
Mrs. Odunmbaku highlighted the importance of regular health interventions in tackling critical health challenges as beneficiaries expressed gratitude, calling the initiative timely and impactful.
The event underscored Ojodu LCDA’s dedication to improving community health through proactive and accessible healthcare programmes in line with the Health Development Pillar of its H.E.Y.S Agenda.
