One of Nigeria’s leading bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, has debunked reports of its website being seized by hackers.
A top GTB executive made the disclosure exclusively to Daily Post craving anonymity.
The clarification comes amid a report that its website has been compromised by hackers and customers’ data intercepted in a massive phishing operation.
However, the source described the claim as utterly untrue adding that the bank was having a connectivity issue but that it had nothing to do with hacking.
“It’s false. What we are experiencing is a connectivity issue and has nothing to do with the alleged hacking”, he said.
