The President-elect Asiwaji Bola Tinubu has shared in the grief of former governor of Abia State and Senate Chief Whip Orji Uzor Kalu over the saddening demise of his first wife, Mrs. Ifeoma Ada Kalu.
Tinubu acknowledged that the death of a loved one, like a wife, is painful and saddening as he urged Kalu to accept the loss as the will of God.
“Please be consoled by the memories of the good times you both shared and the fact that the late Mrs. Ifeoma Kalu lived most of her life in the service of God and humanity,” the President-elect said in a statement on Monday from his office.
He prayed that God Almighty console Senator Kalu, the children and all those left behind by the deceased and grant her soul eternal rest.
Recall Theliberationnews reported that Senator Kalu, in a post on his official social media page, announced the passing of his first wife who was aged 61.
He described her as a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of God and humanity as he announced that a memorial service in her honour is scheduled to hold in the United States of America.
