Transfer window: Dortmund defender Manuel Akanji leaves door open for Man Utd move

Borussia Dortmund defender, Manuel Akanji, has left the door open to a summer move to Manchester United.

United could look to sign a new centre-back at the end of the season, with Dortmund defender Akanji one of those regularly linked with a move to Old Trafford.

“I am fully focused on Dortmund at the moment,” Akanji said when quizzed on his future at the Bundesliga club.

“We will see what happens in the future. I’m totally happy to play in this team. I think I have an important role and I want to perform until the end. And then we’ll see in the summer how things go.”

A report last week suggested Akanji had rejected a new contract offer from Dortmund and claimed he would leave for around £20million during the upcoming window.
