History was made on Sunday as the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Odi-Olo/Ojuwoye local branch became the first local branch in Nigeria to organise an annual congress.

The end-of-the-year activity was held at the Multipurpose hall in the Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA Secretariat as members of the youth body came together for a holistic review of its activities in the outgoing year and projections for the upcoming 2024.

The first-of-its-kind drew attendance from leaders of the youth body across the state and national levels some of which includes Leader Ismail Lanleyin, Leader Emmanuel Okoroigbo, Leader Ismaeel Odulana, the incumbent Vice Chairman of NYCN (Lagos West), Comr. Jamiu Ademosu and the immediate past coordinator of the local branch, Comrade Afonja Kabir as well as heads various organizations affiliated to the local branch.

Speaking at the grand event, the coordinator, Comrade Adigun Ibrahim impressed it on the attendees that putting up the program together was yet another way the branch is maintaining its status as an ideal local branch.

He described the outgoing year as a remarkable year for your youth body owing to the numerous developmental programs and projects executed. He attributed the success of the events to the members of the organisation especially the heads of various committees as he hinted that the coming year will be yet another great year.

The event featured the presentation of administrative and financial reports from Nov 2022 to October 2023 from the branch and its affiliate organisations.
