…Directs followers to prioritize Asiwaju, Sanwoolu, APC’s Total Victory at the polls
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa has affirmed that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the only competent presidential candidate in the country.
The Lagos speaker gave this remark while addressing thousands of his supporters at an event tagged: “Obasa youth crusade” held at the Agege Stadium on Saturday.
The event was organized by Obasa’s loyalists in a bid to demonstrate their unflinching commitment to his reelection as member representing Agege Constituency 1 in the state House of Assembly and to celebrate his 50th birthday which held on Friday.
Recall that Theliberationnews reported that Obasa clocked the golden age, yesterday; November 11th with many distinguished individuals across all facets of life conveying their goodwill messages.
The crusade had in attendance over two thousand supporters and party stalwarts from Agege environs and beyond.
Addressing the sea of supporters, Obasa appreciated them for the trust reposed in him as he urged that the victory of the foremost presidential candidate in the country and revered national leader of the ruling party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed should be of utmost priority.
He described Asiwaju TInubu as a consummate candidate who boasts of requisite wherewithal to develop the country further.
He went on to dub Tinubu as a unifier, pathfinder, guardian and benefactor hence the need to ensure his victory at the poll.
His words, “Since 1999 Agege has always been in support of progressive government in Lagos State. Today, our leader, our elder, our mentor, pathfinder, our guardian and our benefactor is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Today, you’re being invited to come together to talk about Obasa and Agege but we have a project that is larger, bigger and more substantial than Obasa and that is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Just like the high tension we have behind us from there, we now connect to every other street and every other homes. That high-tension wire is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu is connecting and I want to tell you that while it connects, we are not going to disappoint you.”
Campaigning for the governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Obasa noted that, he has been performing tremendously well since he assumed office in 2019 and his impact can be felt in virtually all sectors and areas, especially in Agege as he called on the people to reelect Sanwo-Olu next year March.
“Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu in the last three years have been performing wonderfully well which we; the people in Agege can confirm, testify and approve. Today, we have Pen Cinema Bridge which was completed by Sanwo-Olu. In Agege today, we only have a few streets left that needed to be tarred. There is hardly any corner in Agege that you can go to without seeing a tarred road. Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has done tremendously well. And also, we have new schools and substantial rehabilitated ones in Agege courtesy of Sanwo-Olu. We have in him a governor that is capable, confident, knowledgeable and well-established to deliver. He has been doing it and we have no doubt that he will continue to deliver.
” Someone talked about the employment opportunities I’ve facilitated earlier, Baba Muda did not create any company; who has made this possible? Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and that’s because we have a father, a leader, mentor in Asíwájú that has always led us to successful paths and he has chosen for us capable governors upon governors. Don’t entertain doubt in your mind about the governor and our party.”
Speaking further, Obasa said: “For the presidency, don’t give it a second thought. We have only one competent person in Nigeria who has done it before and he’s going to do it again. He has everything that it takes to identify competent hands, be you Hausa that have become a part of our family in Agege; be you Igbo that have also been part of our family in Agege or you are Igbira or any other tribes, we have a leader that has that sagacity to identify competent hands. He has done it and he will do it again. We have Hausa in the Excos, Igbos in the exco as far as you are competent. We have no doubt that Asiwaju is becoming the president of Nigeria and will serve us very well.”
He commended the supporters for leaving their comfort zones to gather under the scorching sun for the political crusade as he enjoined them to judiciously use their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to vote in the candidates of the APC across board in 2023.
Speaking with Theliberationnews the convener of the initiative who doubles as the vice chairman of Agege LGA, Hon. Gbenga Abiola said it has become expedient to drum more support for Obasa’s reelection as well as other candidates of the party especially in Agege. He added that the support group will work tirelessly to galvanize more support for the party in Agege and see to the victory of its candidates across all levels.
