There are ominous political signs that Governor Dapo Abiodun might be in for a raw deal in the coming 2023 elections in which he has put himself forward for reelection by Ogun state electorate.

Though the governorship election is seven months away, the bickering and murmurings from the state publics may not usher in good electoral tidings for the Ogun state governor except some immediate placating steps are taken to assuage public annoyance.

The government’s public service workers recently were at dagger drawn with the governor over unremitted deductions spanning years.

The issue that is not yet resolved is still hanging in the air.

The inhabitants are complaining seriously for want of purported effective government presence in their lives.

The poor state of especially road infrastructure in Abeokuta, the state capital and environs like Sango-Ota, Ijoko, Akute and others, project Governor Abiodun as being insensitive to the plights of the people he governs.

He needs to do something to remedy this perception.

The video above depicts the high level of Ogun inhabitants’ disenchantment with his government.

The Liberation News hopes the governor will do something tangible to redeem his image and that of his government.
We’re watching.
