The 2025 MTN MIP-4 fellows have elected Yemi Adebayo of Africa Independent Television (AIT) as their class governor to lead the cohort through the programme period.
Adebayo was unanimously nominated and elected by all other members based on his coordinating prowess and ready-to-help attitude towards his co-fellows.
In a keenly competitive election coordinated by the PAU Alumni association, Miss Blessings Mosugu emerged as the Class Deputy Governor; Mrs Ukamaka Richard-Bassey was elected the Class Secretary, while Miss Edun Rebecca won the Social Secretary position.
In his acceptance speech, Adebayo pledged to be good ambassador of the group and work in collaboration with other elected members to make the fourth cohort proud.
While appreciating his co-follows for the confidence they have in him to lead hem, Adebayo promised that they would make sure the MIP-4 surpasses the previous ones including the MIP-3 in achievements.
“On behalf of my colleagues that you have elected to lead this team, I appreciate your support and the confidence you people have in us. We promise to make sure that this cohort record great achievements and surpass the achievements of the previous ones all together. We shall make sure that every member of this cohort have sense of belonging and have equal opportunity.”
After the six-month programme, the governor will automatically become the member of the Governing Council of the University’s alumni association.
