The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has finally released the list of its vice chairmanship candidates for the July 12 local government elections across the 57 LGAs and LCDAs in the state.
The list, released on Thursday, complements the earlier list of chairmanship candidates released by party on Tuesday setting the stage for the proper council polls.
While there are still dissatisfactions and protests in some council areas following the outcome of the primaries, the party seems to have pacified the agrieved groups with the vice chairmanship positions in some areas.
In Mushin, a top chairmanship aspirant, Karaole Semiu has been handed the vice chairmanship seat, obviously to douse political tension in the council area. Ganiyu Obasa, son of the Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa got the vice chairmanship slot while Tunde Oyekunle got that of Ojokoro LCDA.
