We Are Yet To Release Election Guidelines – LASIEC Says, Denies Timetable In Circulation

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has said it’s yet to release a timetable for the 2025 Local Government elections.

This is as it described report announcing guidelines for the chairmanship and councillorship polls as fake.

LASIEC said that the notice for the council election currently in circulation did not emanate from the Commission, urging political parties and other stakeholders to disregard the documents.

Declaring reports on the council poll timetable as false on Friday, the LASIEC Chairman, Justice Bola Okikiolu-Ighile (rtd), said that the election is guided by laws and that the process would be announced as stipulated by the law.
