The Oyo State Police Command has put in place an intensive investigation into the abduction of Mrs. Olufunmilayo Aduke Adegoke and her twin sons, who were reportedly kidnapped on Wednesday.
Following a report of the incident, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, immediately directed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Challenge Division, alongside tactical units, to proceed to the scene where the victim’s vehicle was recovered and commence a comprehensive investigation.
In a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, the police assured residents that all available resources and operational assets had been deployed to secure the safe rescue of the victims and bring the perpetrators to justice.
“The Command wishes to assure members of the public that every necessary measure is being taken to ensure the victims’ safe return while efforts are intensified to apprehend those responsible for this criminal act,” the statement said.
The police added that investigations are ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the abduction and identify all those involved.
The Command further appealed to residents to remain calm, vigilant, and law-abiding, urging anyone with useful information that could aid the investigation to promptly contact the nearest police station or relevant security agencies.
