Nollywood actress and media personality Nancy Isime has recounted that losing her family’s wealth became a turning point that strengthened her determination to succeed.
Speaking on the ‘Tea With Tay’ podcast, Isime said she was born into a privileged home and enjoyed a comfortable upbringing due to her father’s financial success at the time.
However, she explained that the family’s fortunes later declined, significantly changing their circumstances.
Rather than lowering her expectations for life, Isime said the experience motivated her to work harder and pursue the level of success she believed was destined for her.
According to her, she had always planned to build a career and create wealth through her own efforts.
“I was born with a silver spoon, and I lost it. My dad was pretty wealthy at some point, but then things changed,” she said.
“I’ve always known I wanted to work. I know for a fact that I’m destined to live a good life, I’m destined to roll in money, I’m destined to look like money, so you know what? Let’s work for it.”
The actress said the experience reinforced her belief in hard work and personal responsibility, adding that it became a major source of motivation in her journey to success.
