Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has emphatically denied allegations that he called the shot for a violent attack during the inauguration of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Abuja.
Recall, Theliberationnews reported that the claims were made by the factional President of NANS, Comrade Atiku Abubakar Isah, who accused Seyi Tinubu of orchestrating the attack allegedly led to him being stripped and filmed naked for a video that was to be circulated towards humiliating him among friends and family.
According to him, armed thugs loyal to Seyi Tinubu stormed The Wells Carlton Hotel in Asokoro during a NANS event. According to Isah, the attackers, brandishing cutlasses and firearms, disrupted the ceremony, assaulted guests, looted valuables, and forced high-profile dignitaries like Senator Ibrahim Shekarau and former Kogi State Governor Idris Wada to flee for safety.
However, setting the records straight in a swift response posted on his verified Instagram handle, Seyi Tinubu vehemently refuted the allegations, calling them “completely fictional” and “defamatory.”
“I have never held a meeting to discuss any subject matter with Comrade Isah in Lagos or anywhere else in the world,” Seyi stated. “I have never knowingly met him before. Neither did I visit any location with thugs.”
Reacting with utter disbelief, he added: “Wow… how can someone lie with so much confidence? An attempt to defame any character. May God be with you, Comrade Atiku Isah.”
