Engr. Ibrahim Adigun Olalekan, the Lagos State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), has convened a meeting with past chairmen at the Lagos State Public Service Club.
The event was attended by Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, who served as a special guest.
During his address, Engr. Adigun took the opportunity to reflect on his tenure and the initiatives his team has championed since he assumed office.
“Our commitment to collaboration and youth empowerment remains unwavering,” he stated emphatically, underlining the importance of engaging both past and present leaders in the quest to uplift the youth of Lagos State.
The gathering was not merely a reunion but an avenue for generating innovative ideas and suggestions to propel the youth council forward.
Adigun emphasized that the meeting also provided a platform for constructive criticism and appraisal, which are essential for the growth and effectiveness of the council.
“We are here to ensure that the voices of the youth are heard and that their needs are met through actionable strategies,” he added.
The event attracted a distinguished group of past chairmen of the NYCN Lagos, including Comr. Olalekan James, Prince Gbadebo Taofeek, Comr. Gbenga Ogunsola, Chief Kayode Odunnuga, Comr. Ismail Odulana, and Comrade Olalekan Biliaminu Oba, the Immediate Past State Chairman and Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Social Development.
