Defying court injunction restricting protest to Freedom and Peace Parks, protesters have been seen gathering at underbridge Ikeja, the Lagos State Capital.
Recall Theliberationnews reported that a Lagos High Court on Tuesday granted an exparte application filed by the State’s Attorney General, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Lawal Pedro seeking to restrict the August 1 nationwide protest, in Lagos to the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park in Ojota and the Peace Park in Ketu.
The protesters were seen in their insignificant numbers converging at the junction leading to the State secretariat and House of Assembly complex.
As observed by Theliberationnews, the protest failed, recording little or no compliance in other areas of the state like Agege, Abule-Egba, Isolo, Amuwo Odofin among others.
