President Bola Tinubu ran into former president Olusegun Obasanjo at the second-term inauguration of Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma, on Monday.

That will be the first time the duo that have impacted Nigeria’a political landscape since 1999 will meet after the 2023 general elections.

Prior to the elections, Obasanjo took an opposition stand against the aspiration of President Tinubu even as the later travelled to Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital, to consult him and seek his blessings.

With or without the former president’s blessing, Tinubu emerged victorious in the presidential election and was sworn in as the 16th president of the federal republic of Nigerian on May 29th, 2023.

Their meeting on Monday was at the at Governor Hope Uzodinma’s residence-election inauguration that held at the Dan Anyiam stadium in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
