…Assures That Tinubu Will Succeed President Mohammadu Buhari In 2023
Quelling every negative insinuations, the Minster for Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, SAN, has disclosed that he is doing what is expectedly required of him to see Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu become the next president of Nigeria.
Fashola, who succeeded Tinubu in office as governor of Lagos State, made this known during an interview on Channels TV, as closely monitored by The Liberation News correspondent.
He made it known that he is doing all that is expected of him, though behind the scene, to ensure that his benefactor; the foremost presidential candidate in the country and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) succeeds the incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari, in office.
When confronted with facts about his seeming silence and lack of open support for Asiwaju, he emphasized that he is contributing his hands-on support, though underground, and he is readily available to give more support when called upon.
Fashola also expressed optimism that the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the ruling APC will fly and that Tinubu will succeed President Mohammadu Buhari come 2023.
According to Fashola, APC stands a better chance of winning the 2023 election despite the controversy surrounding the Muslim-Muslim ticket.
“Sometimes we need to test some hypothesis. Religion should leave the public space. Religion is a private thing.
“Nigerians will vote for us (APC). Nigerians have had the opportunity of two governments. We (APC government) have served the country as efficiently as we can,” he concluded.
