Since the creation of Ogun State on 3rd February 1976, the state has been led by 16 administrators and governors. Of these, 11 were Military Administrators who served during periods of military rule, while 5 were Civilian Governors who have led the state under democratic governance. Together, these leaders have played significant roles in shaping the political, economic, and social development of Ogun State over the past five decades.
