A Lagos-based nonprofit organization has called on the public to support its upcoming Ramadan feeding and welfare programme, aiming to provide food packs, iftar meals, and assistance to widows, orphans, senior citizens, and low-income households during the Islamic holy month.

The Muslim for Family Development and Advancement Initiative, known as MUSFADA, announced the appeal from its office in the Area 1 Estate along the Lagos-Abeokuta express road, urging individuals, organisations, and corporate partners to donate funds, sponsor meals, or contribute food items including rice, beans, oil, and dates.

The Foundation said its 2026 Ramadan programme is designed to address the struggles many families face in affording basic meals during the fasting period, while also strengthening community bonds and compassion.

“Your donation helps reduce hunger, strengthen families, and spread mercy during Ramadan, a time when good deeds carry multiplied rewards,” the Foundation’s Chairman, Dr. Maryam Bolaji Akinbode, said in a statement.

Citing the prophetic tradition, Akinbode added: “Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like theirs.

“Donations can be made to the MUSFADA Fidelity Bank account (6060309746), with further inquiries directed to the organisation’s phone lines and email address (08023182900; 07048920686. musfadainitiative@gmail.com)

The group reiterated its commitment to serving humanity, describing its work as touching lives “one family at a time.”
