National coordinator of Change Agent International (CAFI), Prince Oladipupo Okeyomi, has urged for national coordination for the emergence of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming presidential election.
Okeyomi, who is also special consultant to the Interior Minister on Security Matters, in a congratulatory message to the winner of the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, said, “Now, CAFI is vindicated that it is not good to change a winning team”.
According to him, Nigeria at this time, needs leaders who are capable of focusing on set agenda without distractions, noting that Tinubu, having held on to the welfarist agenda of the progressives, will never let Nigerians down.
“”I want us all to realise the fact that antecedent matters in all things.Asiwaju Tinubu laid the foundation for modern Lagos and he also made bold to work for the emergence of fellow progressives which later caliberated in the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari presidency.
“Truth is; nobody can deny the fact that this administration has done a lot in infrastructural development, especially by reviving the moribund railway system and putting a great tap on the country’s once loose border system,” he noted.
Okeyomi noted with sympathy the various terrorist attacks on Nigeria’s communities, and particularly lamented the violation of the Catholic Church in Owo, leading to many deaths.
” What happened in Owo is lamentable; but I know that this is a fatal phenomenon in the West African sub-region, which is not peculiar to Nigeria; however, this administration is making fitful efforts to stem the tide and soon, all will be well,” he added.
Meanwhile, Okeyomi also disclosed that all is set at the level of the CAFI to raise volunteers who strongly believe in the progressive ideologies of Asiwaju Tinubu to ensure success for him in the next presidential election.
He also called on Lagosians to vote massively for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and grant him a second term mandate, “to continue his transformational infrastructure in Lagos State”.
He said Lagos, under Sanwo-Olu, is now a reference point in terms of socio-economic regeneration in the West-African sub-region.
