Consequent upon the successful hosting of a special Tawaf in Mecca for the national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), and the party’s leading presidential aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the latter has thanked Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker and host of the special Tawaf held in pursuit of his 2023 presidential ambition.

Tinubu while speaking at the occasion showered praises on Obasa for leading a successful Lagos State House of Assembly.

The special Tawaf held on Thursday at the centre of Islam’s most significant mosque, the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Tinubu, a former Governor of Lagos seized the opportunity of the occasion to encourage Nigerians to pray more for President Muhammadu Buhari in his bid to resolve the country’s challenges.

Tinubu, who was obviously elated declared: “I’m most honoured by this gesture meant to be in furtherance of similar prayers seeking God’s blessings for my aspiration to lead our country from 2023.”

However, he tasked Obasa and members of the Lagos State House of Assembly who were present at the spiritual event to go beyond his ambition and pray for Nigeria as well.

“I urge you all to intercede on behalf of the nation and beseech Almighty Allah for an end to the challenges besieging our country.

“I urge you to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari and his administration in their efforts to surmount these challenges,” he appealed.

He sought prayers to Allah to touch the hearts of bandits and criminal elements in the country in the blessed month of Ramadan.

“I also enjoin everyone organising or holding similar prayers either for themselves or for some particular causes to also remember to pray for our country in this sacred month,” he said.

The special Tawaf was attended by political bigwigs, business tycoons , corporate top executives as well as Islamic schorlars from Lagos and across the country.
