The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied reports that Eberechukwu, wife of the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, was in its custody.
An online news service had reported the arrest and detention of the former first lady of Anambra state, by the EFCC
However, spokesman to the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, put a lie to the report, saying that she was not in the EFCC custody.
Recall that her husband, Willie Obiano was arrested about a month ago at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, after relinguishing power to his successor, Governor Charles Soludo.
Eberechukwu had last week declared ambition to contest the 2023 senatorial election for Anambra North District on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)
