The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria has extended warm congratulations to Muslims across Nigeria and around the world on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The society, in a statement by its national president, Prince Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem, appreciated Almighty Allah for the strength, patience, and spiritual renewal that characterizes the sacred period.
“Eid is not only a time of celebration but also a moment for reflection on the enduring values of faith, compassion, justice, and unity which Islam teaches,” the statement read in part.
“At this important moment, we call on the Muslim Ummah to remain united and steadfast. The strength of the Muslim community lies in its unity, mutual respect, and collective commitment to peace and justice. Across the globe, Muslims continue to face humanitarian challenges and conflicts in several regions. We therefore urge the international community to prioritize peace, justice, dialogue, and the protection of innocent lives, as violence and conflict only deepen human suffering and undermine global stability.
“In Nigeria, Eid-ul-Fitr should also serve as a moment of sober reflection on our collective national responsibilities. The persistent threats of banditry, kidnapping, and terrorism continue to endanger the lives and livelihoods of citizens. We therefore call on the Federal Government to intensify efforts to continue to strengthen the nation’s security architecture and implement measures that ensures the safety of all communities.
“The ongoing national conversation on the establishment of State Police deserves careful consideration, as the current centralized policing structure has shown limitations in addressing Nigeria’s diverse security challenges. A properly regulated multi-layered security framework could complement federal agencies and strengthen community-based intelligence in combating crime.”
The Society also emphasize; the need to strengthen Nigeria’s food supply chain and agricultural sector through sustainable policies, improved logistics, and increased support for farmers, as food security remains essential for national stability and economic growth.
“As the nation gradually approaches another electoral cycle, the lessons of Ramadan—peace, patience, forgiveness, discipline, and accountability—must guide our conduct in the democratic process. Political participation must reflect the ethical values that Islam teaches. We therefore urge all Nigerians, particularly the Muslim Ummah, to eschew violence, hatred, and divisive rhetoric.
“Democracy thrives when citizens engage constructively, articulate their aspirations responsibly, and choose leaders who are accountable to the people. The Society encourages its members and the wider Muslim community to participate actively in the democratic process and to vote for candidates of their choice who demonstrate integrity, competence, and commitment to the welfare of the nation.
“At the same time, we commend the Federal Government for its efforts over the past two years in working toward stabilizing the nation’s economy. While challenges remain, the steps taken toward improving fiscal management and economic reforms are noteworthy and deserve encouragement. Sustained commitment to policies that promote economic growth, job creation, and social welfare will further enhance the wellbeing of Nigerians.
“As we celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, we urge all Nigerians to uphold the values of peace, tolerance, compassion, and national unity. Let us extend kindness to our neighbours, support the less privileged, and work collectively for a more secure, just, and prosperous Nigeria.
“May Almighty Allah accept our fasting, prayers, and acts of charity during the month of Ramadan, and may He grant our nation peace, stability, and progress.
Eid Mubarak to all Muslims in Nigeria and around the world,” the statement concluded.
