In yet another significant move to enhance its corporate image, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lagos State Chapter has organised an intensive workshop on capacity building for Public Relations Officers (PROs) of its 57 local branches across the state.
The program was held on Friday at the Lagos Youth House, Akinwunmi Street, Alagomeji Yaba in partnership with the Lagos Youth Development Institute (LYDI).
It featured in-depth sessions on Strategic Communications, Branding, Social Media Management, Public Communication Protocols, Creative Media, Ethical Leadership, Teamwork, Introduction To Photography amongst others.
This workshop is the first of its kind in the history of Lagos and was borne out through the foresight and thoughtfulness of the Public Relations Officer, Comr. Victor Adogbajale to enhance the image of the youth umbrella body across all local governments in Digital Age and in alignment with the council chairman, Engr. Adigun Ibrahim’s all-inclusive P3+ Agenda (Professionalism, Productivity and Publicity).
Adigun, in his remarks, urged the image makers to make the most of the training in the day-to-day reportage of their local branch’s activites. He urged them to live up to expectations of effective communication in their local branches.
Joining other facilitators was the Director General of LYDI, Dr. Ademosu Jamiu, who in his goodwill message encouraged the public affairs officers to take the knowledge gained from the workshop very seriously.
Yet another major highlight of the program was the presentation of certificates to the participants to further certify their active participation.
Adogbajale emphasised that the youth umbrella body under the visionary leadership or Engr. Adigun Ibrahim remains committed to empowering youths, fostering leadership and strengthening community values.
