The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lagos State Chapter, Engr. Adigun Ibrahim Olalekan, has been inaugurated to serve alongside Mrs. Temitope Adekola Ogundipe in leading the Lagos State Technical Working Group on Prevention and Response to Technology-Facilitated Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (TF-SGBV).
While Ogundipe will serve as the Chairman of the team with DSP Michael Livinus as the Co-chair, Engr. Adigun was inaugurated as the Vice Chairman, with Mrs. Yetunde Odekunle appointed as the Scribe.
They will work with other distinguished members drawn from law enforcement agencies, academia, civil society organizations, and other critical stakeholders.
The Technical Working Group was constituted by the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) as a proactive move to curb the rising wave of digital harms enabled through technology and social media.
The inauguration ceremony, held on Wednesday at Marriott Hotel, Ikeja was part of the launch of the Lagos State Policy Framework on Prevention and Response to Technology-Facilitated Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (TF-SGBV).
The Executive Secretary of the agency, Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, explained that the framework will guide coordinated interventions among relevant government bodies, institutions, and partners in addressing technology-driven abuse.
The event was graced by the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, alongside other notable personalities.
