The Remi Tinubu Support Organization (RETSO) has on Thursday officially launched its Lagos State Chapter with a landmark empowerment programme at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere.
The event, designed to strengthen grassroots participation and promote the humanitarian vision of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, also served to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s development agenda and forthcoming 2027 re-election bid.
Dignitaries, executives, and members gathered to celebrate the chapter’s unveiling, which was highlighted by the empowerment of ten selected members.
In his address, the South West Zonal Coordinator, Hon. Adegoke Iyiade, congratulated the new Lagos Chapter executives and specifically recognised the State Coordinator, Hon. Isa Laguda, for his contributions.
Iyiade urged members to leverage the organisation for personal and collective growth, saying: “The empowerment of selected and deserving members remains central to RETSO’s mission,”
He directly appealed to beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunities provided while encouraging the executive members to continuously project the organisation’s objectives in support of the First Lady and the President.
The Lagos State Coordinator, Hon. Isa Laguda, detailed the group’s structure and its role in driving empowerment and community development across the state.
Demonstrating this commitment, the event saw ten members representing Ikorodu, Badagry, Ikeja, Lagos Island, and Epe through the IBILE structure each received N50,000 to support their economic advancement.
The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Religion, Hon. Abdullah Jebe, who also represented the wife of the Deputy Governor, delivered the welcome address.
He congratulated RETSO on the successful launch as he praised the First Lady and the President.
Sharing insights from his own journey, Jebe encouraged members to remain steadfast.
“Harness the power to progress, achieve, and serve,” he advised, emphasising the benefits of committed service.
A key moment of the ceremony was the official presentation of the RETSO Lagos Chapter logo, jointly conducted by Hon. Abdullah Jebe and Hon. Adegoke Iyiade alongside the chapter executives.
The gathering reinforced the organisation’s core mission to promote the First Lady’s humanitarian efforts while empowering citizens, particularly women and youth.
RETSO’s stated vision “is to foster a Nigeria where every citizen has access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, with objectives centered on advancing the President’s agenda and delivering tangible empowerment through various initiatives.”
