Bayo Onanuga; Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu has slammed Rufai Oseni, co-host of Arise Television’s The Morning Show for what could be described as his sheer display of economic illiteracy.
Oseni had posted a graphical content on his X handle which focused on Nigeria’s debt profile tagging President Bola Tinubu as the mastermind of what he called the nation’s debt crisis.
He pointed out that Nigeria’s public debt had crossed N152 trillion having reportedly risen by N3 trillion in 3 months.
Taking to the comment section, Onanuga explained that the president is mindful of the borrowing as he clarified that the loans are still within the ambit of the law.
“You are an economic illiterate! All sovereign nations borrow money. Our borrowing has not breached the limit allowed by the rule,” Onanuga said in his terse comment.
