A Federal High Court sitting in Warri, Delta State, on Friday, issued an order restraining the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, from enforcing vehicle with tinted glass regulation.

The court ordered the NPF to maintain the status quo in the controversial tinted glass permit.

The case with Suit No. FHC/WR/CS/103/2025, involved John Aikpokpo-Martins versus IGP and NPF.

The Court directed police authorities to respect judicial processes, pending further proceedings in the matter.

Kunle Edun, SAN, who led the legal team, noted that the directive is a major step in ensuring that the rule of law is upheld while substantive issues in the case are being determined.
