Nigerian Movie industry has been thrown into mourning mood as prolific Yoruba thespian Peju Ogunmola loses her only son to the cold hands of death.
The tragedy, Theliberationnews gathered, happened on Monday, 1 September, 2025, while she was at a movie location, where colleagues informed her that an actor had been rushed to the hospital.
Upon arrival, she was heartbroken to learn it was her son who had passed away.
The deceased was said to have recently completed his one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme, a feat that gladdened the heart of the veteran actor, as would any mother.
The passing of the young man has elicited heartfelt condolences from Ogunmola’s colleagues in the industry.
As at the time of filing this report, it was yet to be known the cause of the 24-year-old’s death.
