Yes,I am not surprised. Tunji Bello, the ex-Uite, the ex-student union activist back in our days as students in the early eighties at the greatest of all the Universities in Nigeria, the University of Ibadan.
The University that gave the country the greatest “Kongi” Wole Soyinka, the master story teller and novelist, Chinua Achebe, the greatest Surgeon and Physician, Ishaya Audu, the Cicero of the last century, Bola Ige, the board room guru, Gamaliel Onosode, and Ernest Shonekan.
That is the league to which Tunji, the “Spider Man ” as we fondly called him belong. Yes, Tunji is my friend, associate and family friend.
Tunji sure has community values. He never forgets where he is coming from and sure has his gaze on his destination.
He and I have come a long way. We sure have our eyes and ears wide open. ( Amoju lo soja). We carefully took our eyes to the market in picking our spouses. Tunji”s wife is a Professor in LASU who ended up as VC of the University. My spouse was a Chief Registrar, CR, in Oyo state Judiciary and number two as a Justice in the state’s Judiciary.
Tunji has not allowed ‘the man in him ” to die and he sure remembered that there was a Nigeria that should be reinvented. His philanthropic attribute is synonymous with the greatest sites all over the world.
Kudos to you, Ore, my Sider Man. Keep it up jare. All hope is not lost yet. Okare Omoluabi, Aremo Bello. I am proud of you.
