The Federal Government has given cash award of ₦200,000 to 17-year-old Nafisah Abdullahi, winner of the TeenEagle Global Finals competition.
Theliberationnews reports that the presentation was made on Thursday in Abuja by the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, as part of efforts to celebrate young Nigerians excelling on the world stage.
It will be recalled that Nafisah, alongside fellow champions Rukaiya Fema and Khadija Kalli, had earlier received fully funded scholarships from the Atiku Abubakar Foundation in recognition of their exceptional performance at the competition. In a letter dated August 5, 2025, signed by Prof. Ahmadu Shehu, Acting Secretary of the Foundation, the trio’s achievements were hailed as “remarkable success.”
Nafisah distinguished herself for her admirable mastery of the English language, critical thinking, and eloquence—skills that secured her victory over contestants from 69 countries and positioned her among the brightest young scholars in the world.
