The 21st Biennial Conference of National Council Of Muslim Youth Organisations, NACOMYO, Lagos State Chapter marked a significant milestone with the dissolution of the old executives and the emergence of 23 new executives officers to lead the council for the next two years 2025-2027 (1447-1449AH).
The event held on Saturday at the Council Secretariat, Lagos State Secretariat Mosque Alausa Ikeja, with conference themed “Reinvigorating Youth for 21st Century Da’wah,” brought together young Islamic adherents across the state, as well as leaders, elders and scholars who took turns discussed crucial topics, including leveraging education, technology and other 21st century century tools for effective Da’wah and promoting Islamic values.
The new executive council members are expected to strengthen the Council already established institutions and structures, drive positive change by mobilizing more Muslim Youths organizations across the state, promote Islamic values, and provide a platform for young Muslims to share ideas and learn from one another.
In accordance with the state Bye-law, a council Shurah committee was constituted to oversee the nomination, screening and formal appointment of members into Lagos State Executive Council for the next administrative tenure. The Shurah comprised respected and experienced members of NACOMYO with deep knowledge of organization’s ethos and history.
