The breathed his last on Sunday afternoon in London Clinic.
The news of his demise was made known by his Media aide, Garba Shehu in a terse announcement made available Theliberationnews.
The obituary reads:
“INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHIR RAJI’UN.
“The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London.
“May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin.”
