The incumbent chairman and candidate of the ruling All Progressives (APC) in Ojodu LCDA, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku has promised to building on his legacies of progressive governance in the next four years.
In a media chat on Tuesday at his palatial office, Odumbaku who, alongside his running mate Alhaja Kafaya Layeni received the party’s flag as its standard flagbearer on Tuesday ahead of the July 12 local government elections across the 57 LGAs and LCDAs in the state, reeled out his administration’s remarkable strides in the last four years with assurance of consolidation, upon his re-election.
The media chat themed, “The Journey So Far, The Task Ahead”, brought together members of the press and media professionals as the Chairman highlighted the progress made under his administration and shared bold plans for Ojodu’s continued growth.
Odunmbaku reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to openness, accountability, and inclusive governance.
“The Media is a vital bridge between the government and the people. This dialogue is part of our pledge to keep the citizens informed and involved, he said.
He credited his achievements to an open-door policy and a collaborative approach that ensures community voices are heard and valued.
He highlighted his administration’s strides to include, Improved healthcare and educational infrastructure, Youth and Women empowerment initiatives, Strategic road and drainage projects, Plans for solar-powered markets and modern recreational centres among others.
The council helmsman extended his gratitude to Hon. James Faleke and Hon. Adedamola Kasunmu for their impactful constituency projects, and applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for reforms that continue to empower local governments.
