Erling Haaland, Mo Salah and Raheem Sterling are among the best-paid Premier League stars, according to a report released in France.

Premier League players are known for their giant salaries, with the wages that the top stars in England earn ranking among the highest in the world of football.

L’Equipe has now named the superstars who earn the most money on a monthly basis – and there’s a surprise or two on the list.

Predictably, Erling Haaland, who recently signed a new deal with Manchester City, comes out on top. Rafaela Pimenta, his agent, once claimed that the Norway star will earn over €1 billion in his career, but while his latest deal does not quite offer him those riches, he still earns €2.57 million on a monthly basis.

This works out around €593,000 per week or €30.84m per year.

Biggest salaries in the Premier League
Weekly Monthly Annual

1 Erling Haaland (Man City) €593,000 €2.57m €30.84m

2 Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) €475,000 €2.06m €24.72m

3= Casemiro (Man Utd) €415,000 €1.8m €21.6m

3= Mo Salah (Liverpool) €415,000 €1.8m €21.6m

5= Raheem Sterling (Arsenal) €385,000 €1.67m €20m

5= Marcus Rashford (Aston Villa) €385,000 €1.67m €20m

While no other Premier League player comes close to touching Haaland’s salary, the one who comes closest is Manchester City club-mate Kevin De Bruyne, who takes home €2.1m per month.

Completing the top three are Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah and Manchester United’s Casemiro, who both earn €1.8m per month, according to the French publication.

Both could be leaving the Premier League in the summer. Salah is out of contract at Anfield and could follow Trent Alexander-Arnold out of the door by leaving as a free agent, while United are seeking an exit for Casemiro as they are not getting value for money from him.

Rounding out the top five are two more misfiring stars. Marcus Rashford, whose form at Aston Villa on loan from Man Utd is cause for optimism, and Raheem Sterling, whose level at Arsenal on loan from Chelsea is not, both earn €1.67m a month.

The biggest salaries can still be found in Spain.

Kylian Mbappe earns €2.67m per month and has the biggest salary in European football, a little ahead of Vinicius Junior on €2.5m. This is cited as aggravating Vini’s desire to receive a higher salary – or perhaps even move to the Saudi Pro League.

At Barcelona, Robert Lewandowski earns €2.17m, also putting him ahead of Haaland.

In the Bundesliga, Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich are the biggest earners at €2.1m, while Juventus hitman Dusan Vlahovic commands the greatest wage in Serie A with €1.62m per month. Ligue 1’s highest salary goes to Ousmane Dembele of PSG, who gets €1.5m on a monthly basis.
