Presidential aide, Olusegun Dada, has described former President Olusegun Obasanjo as the father of corruption in Nigeria adding that he’s envious of President Bola Tinubu, the master strategist.

Olusegun said this on X on Thursday in quip response Obasanjo uncomplimentary remarks about President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

The ex-president dismissed the Lagos-Calabar project as “Typical examples of waste, corruption and misplaced priority” in his latest book titled:
‘Nigeria: Past and Future.”

Berating Obasanjo for leaving a legacy of corruption after eight years in office, Mr Olusegun said, “Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has just published a memoir containing claims that would further relegate his integrity as the leader who opened Nigeria to the cankerworms of corruption by neglecting important projects that could have changed the trajectory of this country if he had focused on what mattered in his days.”

The presidential aide claimed that the Lagos-Calabar project would change Nigeria’s economic fortunes for life, labelling Mr Tinubu a master strategist Mr Obasanjo must be jealous of.

“Like the Sokoto-Badagry Highway and Lagos-Abuja Highway, the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road is project that will change the economic landscape of our country FOR LIFE and former President OBJ must pretend not to be jealous of the master strategist who is rewriting the history of the southwestern presidency by fixing all that needs to be fixed across the country,” Olusegun said.
