The protracted ongoing feud over the Speakership tussle in the Lagos State House of Assembly might soon be a thing of the past if feelers by Theliberationnews is anything to go by.
Sources reveal to Theliberationnews that the assembly, in compliance with the resolutions agreed upon in Marina by statesmen and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, will reconvene anytime from Monday at a plenary to be presided over for the last time as contentious Speaker by Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda.
Consequent upon this, the security in the assembly complex has been beefed up so as to forestall any security glitch.
Theliberationnews gathered that Meranda is expected to resign and in the process yield the seat for Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa to formally assume his rightful position in the presence of all members.
The sources further informed Theliberationnews after series of meetings by leaders that lasted till the early hours of Monday that Rt. Hon. Obasa, upon his popular return will immediately adjourn sine die so that built up tensions can be completely doused.
