Young Islamic faithful in Ilupeju community, Lagos, under the umbrella of the Ilupeju Youth Forum, have held their 4th Annual Ramadan Lecture and Iftar program.
The event, which took place last Thursday on Ozeigbe Street, Ilupeju, featured a soul-refreshing lecture delivered by Sheikh Adam Oyeshakin, also known as Onigege Ara.
He spoke on the topic: “Guiding the Next Generation on the Straight Path: The Role of Muslim Youth in Building a Better World.”
In his sermon, Oyeshakin emphasized the critical role of youth in nation-building, stressing that they are not only the leaders of tomorrow but also the drivers of change today. He encouraged the youth to take responsibility for shaping a better future and to actively contribute to the development of society.
The revered cleric urged the attendees to lead by example, advocating for the importance of upholding Islamic values and maintaining moral integrity. He stressed that by staying true to their faith, Muslim youths can become powerful agents of positive change in the world.
Earlier in his remarks, the Forum’s coordinator and convener of the event, Comr. Olayinka Dolapo Faruq better known as ODF, explained that the program was yet another initiative by the youth body to raise awareness about the moral and religious obligations of the youth towards society.
He expressed his delight in organizing the fourth edition of religious program, assuring that the forum would continue to create platforms for the youth to engage in activities that foster personal growth, unity, and social responsibility.
