In a bid to enhance educational opportunities for its residents, Ojodu LCDA has organized a screening test for prospective candidates seeking to sit for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The exercise, conducted on Wednesday under the supervision of council officials, featured a thorough screening of candidates’ credentials, as well as Computer-Based Test (CBT) data biometrics capturing.
The process was aimed at ensuring that all applicants meet the necessary requirements for the examination.
Speaking on the initiative, HOD of the Education Department LCDA, Mr Akeem Adekoya and Supervisor For Education, Hon. Dayo Olanrewaju reaffirmed the council’s commitment to supporting education and empowering students with the necessary resources to excel in their academic pursuits.
The programme is part of the council’s broader efforts to promote access to higher education and reduce barriers for young scholars in line with educational development pillar of its H.E.Y.S Agenda.
Hitherto, the Council Chairman, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku has given out 900 free jamb forms, 700 GCE forms, 350 school kits among other educational initiatives to support the academic pursuit of students in the council area.
