In a continuous demonstration of its commitment to education and youth empowerment, the Olusegun Odunmbaku-led administration in Ojodu LCDA, Lagos has awarded bursaries of 50,000 Naira each to 50 students in the council area.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Odunmbaku emphasized that the initiative doesn’t stop at financial support but about also fostering a sustainable relationship between the administration and the beneficiaries. He assured the students that beyond financial assistance, beneficiaries would be prioritized for skill acquisition and job employability programmes designed to equip them with the necessary skills for today’s competitive labour market.
“This initiative is not just about monetary value; it is a demonstration of our unwavering support for your academic journey and a commitment to ensuring that, upon graduation, you are not just certificate holders but individuals equipped with employable skills,” he stated.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the council helmsman for the financial aid and the promise of further empowerment opportunities while the Vice Chairman, Hon Bunmi Oluyadi said the initiative by the administration reaffirmed its dedication to fostering conducive learning experience and ensuring that students have the resources needed to excel in their studies.
